Think about future! Why a will ?
Raise your hand if you have thought about preparing a will, but haven’t yet.
Three really good reasons why you should get a will prepared:
- To ensure your loved ones are looked after financially.
- To safeguard your family home and assets.
- To avoid paying more Inheritance Tax than you need to.
Why not consider using one of the free services which charitable organisations offer to help in exchange for you to consider them in your will?
Put your mind at ease, knowing that your assets and loved ones are protected and you’ve done something about it.
Free or cheap charity-based schemes
Many charities do offer fee-free will-writing by solicitors. In return, they hope you’ll make a donation or leave a ‘bequest’ in your will (leaving them something when you die) – though you’re not obliged to.
There are a few events throughout the year that let you get solicitor-drafted wills for free, or at least for a cheap rate. For example, Free Wills Month (March and October) and Will Aid (November).
You may want to include reputable organisations such as Red Cross, Cancer Research, Dogs Trust etc.
Good luck in making your will.
